The Role of Educational Psychologists in Supporting Gender-Diverse CYP-1
Mick is an educational psychologist at West Sussex Educational Psychology Service (EPS). Prior to this role, he spent 10 years as a secondary school teacher, specialising in pastoral care and mental health. Throughout his teaching career, Mick worked closely with LGBTQIA+ students, which inspired his research into how professionals can better support transgender children and young people.
This first session aimed at Educational Psychologists will focus on gender theory, preferred language, and recent developments in guidelines and research relevant to educational psychologists.
