The Role of Educational Psychologists in Supporting Gender-Diverse CYP-2
Mick is an educational psychologist at West Sussex Educational Psychology Service (EPS). Prior to this role, he spent 10 years as a secondary school teacher, specialising in pastoral care and mental health. Throughout his teaching career, Mick worked closely with LGBTQIA+ students, which inspired his research into how professionals can better support transgender children and young people.
Aimed at educational psychologists, this 90 minute session will provide an opportunity to apply recent guidelines and research to a case study, helping to inform psychological advice and statutory provision for gender-diverse children and young people within the four areas of need.
