Exploring the experiences and development of military children
This session will explore the context for children growing up in military families and consider the strengths, opportunities, risks and protective factors they experience as they develop. The session will provide an opportunity to reflect on the EP role and how we can provide support for this mobile population through our multifaceted work.
We are delighted that Sophie Nicolaysen agreed to deliver this insightful session: Sophie is an Independent Educational Psychologist who worked in the North East of England for 10 years as a Local Authority Trainee and then EP prior to becoming a Senior Educational Psychologist for the Ministry of Defence. Over the last 4 years she has been based in Cyprus serving the global military community through systemic and individual work. Sophie has now returned to the UK and is passionate about bringing about systemic change for children and young people to help them to flourish.
